George Ohr, Mad Potter of Biloxi

This design makes the building appear to have been tossed into the trees as the prior buildings were.

This is interesting as the residential tower in lower Manhattan appears to be a twisted beam of the World Trade Sits.

Frank Gehry design.

Also from last year:

Virginia Museum of Fine Arts

Philip Guston which reminded me of Phillips installation with Hartley.

The National Gallery

 Newman and Rothko

A Johns--

Nice juxtaposition of Neel and Kats

A new arrangement of Rothko. Are these the Fogg Rothko's?

A Kelley for Earth Day --or is that a Noland?

These Kelleys looked great.

Alex Katz own painting which hung in his Dining Room.

Two great Marquets.

The Corcoran Gallery

I was sorry to miss Chris Martin's show last year here.

Then American Painting--

I had just seen some Homer's which this is emulating.

This Bellow's painting is a classic

Then a Dove, Hartley and Stuart Davis.

Then,

Phillips Collection

The Phillips had a Elizabeth Murray, and Susan Rothenberg with this Marsden Hartley. I think the connection is made in Guston which I saw later at the Corcoran.
