Homer Etchings
Very Goyaesque I thought. Of course what then becomes a part of Americana.
Watteau at the Clark
I usually think of Hals in relation to Manet's bravura paint. Here it shows Watteau's influence probably into Delacroix.
Goya certainly had a hand in it but in a more awkward fashion. This almost goes to the surfacey level of Sargent so very facile.
