The Newman room and Pollock room are not really that exciting, compared to their usual setting.
Certainly it is good to see the paintings in different relationships, though.
One has to reflect upon why the Modern would have so few great paintings. The de Kooning situation is shocking.
I thought the Rothko room would be better but its pretty good.
I thought the Klines were the big surprise. They looked great and are in good condition.
These Reinhardts are great beside the Hofmanns.
