A Noland, I think I thought a Kelley-- interesting that the sky goes back, I would have thought he would have opted for it upside down --makes a stronger Hans Hofmann type surface.

This Katz hung in Katz's dining room for years.

I went to the Barnes in 1972 with a group of artist friends arriving from a bar in NYC at 7:00 in the morning. We were told that we needed a reservation-- then they let us all in. Today one still needs a reservation, I told the receptionist this story and he felt for me and saw me let in again.

Well, this is amazing here and some of the best paintings we have in America.

Many largely unknown.

This great painting pales in the face of the Collection-- my feeling just today--

These landscapes are wonderful.

But this is amazing, this little drawing.

For this great Mural which is under represented by this little jpeg filched from the website.

The Barnes needs to decide whether they really care about education or just protecting their funds from rights.

If I could have taken photos I'd show how Barnes really loved art and was an artist in his own right in the juxtapositions he made with these rugs and European sculpture.

An artist Jean Hugo I dont know of, I thought it a strange Corot.
